One day for the officers/employees of Bengaluru city district Date: 27.02.2024 and 2 days special holiday on Date: 27.02.2024 and 28.02.2024 for officers/employees of other districts including travel days, Casual leave is granted subject to the following conditions.

Government servants who wish to attend this conference should apply to the authorities concerned for grant of special casual leave. An official attendance certificate regarding participation in the said conference should be obtained and furnished by the President of Karnataka State Government Employees Association or the officers nominated by him. It is here by notified that special casual leave shall be sanctioned by the competent authorities on this basis.

Govt Announced 180 Days Maternity Leave To School Female Helpers, Cooks

The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to grant 180 days maternity leave to around 17,889 women cooks-cum-helpers working in the education department under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said on Tuesday.

Keeping in view the welfare of children and mothers, the present government has given instructions to the education department to fulfil the long-standing basic demand. In Himachal Pradesh, the government has decided to provide 180 days maternity leave to all the female helpers and cooks in all government schools.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has informed that the Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to give 180 days’ maternity leave to about 17,889 female kitchen helpers working in the Education Department under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961. Earlier, there was no system of granting maternity leave to this category and necessary instructions in this regard have been issued to the concerned department, he said in a statement issued here.

Suku said that this decision of the government, which is working for the welfare of the weaker sections of the society, will fulfil the long-standing demands of the midday heat manufacturing workers. He said that the government is working with the aim of holistic development of the downtrodden with special focus on child care and women empowerment.
