Cyclone Hamoon: Heavy Rainfall alert in Karnataka from Oct 29, issued Yellow Alert

There are signs of monsoon becoming active across Karnataka. In the meantime, the storm 'Tej' which was formed in the Arabian Sea is not so intense. But Cyclone Hamoon, which has arisen in the Bay of Bengal, will affect many states of the country.

Cyclone Hamoon, created in the Bay of Bengal, has intensified. As a result, Karnataka will experience heavy rains from October 29. The weather department has forecast that a yellow warning has been issued in the three interior districts of the state due to the possibility of heavy rains for two days.

From October 29, Chikmagalur, Hassan and Kodagu districts of south interior Karnataka will experience heavy rain with thunder for two days. Hence yellow alert has been issued for these three districts on October 30-31.

Heavy rainfall may occur at some places:

Other districts including Bengaluru City, Bengaluru Rural, Kolar, Mysuru, Chikkaballapur, Ramanagara, Tumkur, Shivamogga, Vijayanagara, Chamarajanagara and other districts will experience moderate to heavy rain at times.
There are chances of occasional showers over other coastal districts like Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. Elsewhere, sunny temperatures are expected to be high.

There is no sign of even a small amount of rain in the northern hinterland. Dry weather will continue here. Already, the maximum temperature has increased by 2-3 degrees Celsius in various districts including Kalaburagi, Honnavara. The India Meteorological Department has predicted that blue clear skies will be seen here and the weather will be dull like this.
