A recent social media frenzy has suggested a trade deal between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Speculations are rife that LSG may be trading their skipper KL Rahul to their former franchise RCB. On the other hand, Rahul showcased his batting prowess with outstanding performances in IPL 2021 and 2022, scoring 626 and 616 runs respectively.

However, his form faltered in the previous season, scoring just 274 runs in 9 matches. Ahead of the 2022 season, Rahul moved from Punjab Kings (PBKS) to LSG, becoming their captain for Rs 17 crore, sharing the title of IPL’s highest-paid cricketer with Virat Kohli.

A day before the retention deadline, reports emerged suggesting that Rahul had parted ways with LSG to rejoin RCB, while Harshal Patel had moved on to LSG. But RCB already releae Fast bowling all rounder Harshal Patel.

Sources close to the franchise rubbished the rumors circulating on social media. The management of both RCB and LSG deny any knowledge of any such business dealings involving KL Rahul Trading. He dismissed the claims of speculation, expressing amusement at the baseless nature of these reports.
