Batting superstar Virat Kohli is back in India as part of India’s Test squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa. According to a report by Cricbuzz, the 35-year-old star batsman has missed the ongoing three-match inter-squad match to return home.

According to the report, Kohli had to return to India due to a family emergency. The exact details of the emergency are not clear, but according to BCCI sources, he will return to Centurion in time for the first Test starting on December 26.

Virat Kohli had left for Mumbai three days ago after getting permission from the team management and the BCCI to avoid the three-day warm-up match in which the Indian players are currently involved in Pretoria.
