Wife of ‘Dawood aide’ claims husband forced her into sex work, names cricketers & politicians

Dawood aide Riyaz Bhati is in the headlines at the moment. Riyaz has also been accused of making his own wife a sex worker. Riyaz’s wife Rehnuma has alleged that her husband used to force her to sleep with high profile people. she has also named two Team India cricketers and politician in her complaint, According to media report.

Riyaz Bhati is close to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. In the year 2015 and 2020, he has been arrested while trying to escape from the country by disobeying the order of the court. For this Riyaz had resorted to fake passport. In February 2020, he was trying to flee abroad and was caught at the Mumbai airport. Cases are registered against him for land grabbing, cheating, firing and demanding extortion.

In September this year, his anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the court. Since then he is on the run. The police has issued a lookout notice against him. In 2006, he took the help of Dawood Ibrahim gang members for illegal possession of a land in Malad, Mumbai. Cases of extortion are also registered against him in Juhu and Amboli police stations. Riyaz Bhati is said to be fond of posing for pictures with politicians. His photo is seen with leaders of almost every party.

Social media user, Sameet Thakkar has taken to Twitter to share a copy of the complaint filed by Riyaz Bhati’s wife in Santacruz, Mumbai Police Station on September 24, 2021, wherein she accused her husband Riyaz Bhati, businessman Prithviraj Kothari, cricketers Hardik Pandya and Munaf Patel and Congress leader and former BCCI chairman Rajiv Shukla of sexual assault.
