Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje to enter Narendra Modi Cabinet

Udupi: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje likely to enter Union Cabinet with three other Karnataka MPs. The Union Cabinet is set to get four new faces from Karnataka as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government goes for an overhaul of its Council of Ministers

Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister DV Sadananda Gowda has resigned from Union Council of Ministers and sources said Shobha Karandlaje may be inducted in his place. Shobha Karandlaje met Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday morning.

Karandlaje belongs to the Vokkaliga community and is from coastal Karnataka. Known to be the fiery face of the BJP in Karnataka, she is likely to get a prominent role in the cabinet. Bidar MP Bhagwanth Khuba, Chitradurga MP A Narayanaswamy and Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar also likely to enter Modi cabinet from Karnataka.
