A total of 1,500 viruses are in the lab. There are also many dangerous viruses, such as the deadly Ebola, that have killed thousands in the world. China has allocated a total of 300 million in 2015 to the lab. The lab officially began operating in 2018. Spread over an area of about 3000 sq. Ft., The lab is located in the Wuhan Hill area.
A team of Chinese scientists released a report in January saying the virus did not come from the animal market of ‘Wuhan’. Because of this, there is doubt that the virus got leaked from the virus lab. An expert from London has also commented that there are no supporting documents on the spread of particular virus from bats to humans. For all these reasons, the ‘Wuhan Virology’ Lab is now the focus of the world’s controversy.
