India Meteorological department has said that moderate rain with strong winds and thundershowers are likely to occur in most of the districts of West Bengal in the next few days. Along with Bihar’s capital Patna, many parts of north, east and south Bihar received heavy rainfall. Bihar, which has been facing rising temperatures, witnessed a sudden change in weather on Tuesday.

Today it rained in many parts of Bihar state since morning and cloudy weather was observed in many areas. Rain and strong winds brought down the temperature again. According to the IMD, by March 23, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over northwest Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and south Assam and will bring rain and thundershowers due to rising moist air from the Bay of Bengal.

Due to this weather condition, light to moderate rains with thundershowers are likely in the districts of North Bengal till March 23, 2024 and South Bengal till March 21, the India Meteorological Department said in a special bulletin. IMD has forecast hailstorm in eastern India, hot wind in Saurashtra, hailstorm in many states of eastern India. Moderate rainfall is also predicted during this period.

On the other hand, the heat of the sun is increasing in many states of the country. IMD has predicted hot and humid conditions for Rayalaseema, Konkan, Goa, Kerala and Mahe for the next two days. Further, a heat wave warning has been issued for Saurashtra, Kutch and south-west Rajasthan till March 21.
