Indian Railways Cancels 24 Trains, Diverts 8 Train: Check New Schedule Before Travel

Train passengers are likely to face travel disruptions from October 5 to 8, as Northern Railway has announced a major traffic block on the Delhi–Rewari section to facilitate infrastructure upgrades. Indian Railways Cancels 24 Trains, Diverts 8 Train: Check New Schedule Before Travel.

The work will affect train operations on this route, with 24 trains cancelled and eight trains diverted during the four-day period. Passengers planning to travel by train from Delhi to Haryana, Rajasthan, or Gujarat are advised to check their train status before leaving for the station.

Northern Railway has urged passengers to verify the latest schedule through official railway channels to avoid inconvenience. According to Northern Railway, a modern Automatic Signalling System is being installed between Delhi Sarai Rohilla and Palam railway stations on the Delhi–Rewari route.

To complete the work, a six-hour traffic block will be imposed on October 7, 2026. Although the main block is scheduled for October 7, pre-interlocking and maintenance activities will impact train services from October 5 to 8.

Indian Railway Cancelled 24 Trains:

On October 5, Train No. 14087 Delhi–Jaisalmer Express will remain cancelled.

On October 6, the following trains will not operate:

12215 Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Bandra Terminus Garib Rath Express

12216 Bandra Terminus–Delhi Sarai Rohilla Garib Rath Express

14088 Jaisalmer–Delhi Express

15307 Tilak Bridge–Sirsa Express

20983 Bhuj–Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express

Maximum Impact on October 7:

The highest number of cancellations will occur on October 7, when 17 trains will remain cancelled. These include:

12985/12986 Delhi Sarai Rohilla Double Decker Express

12065/12066 Ajmer–Delhi Sarai Rohilla Jan Shatabdi Express

26481/26482 Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express

22452 Chandigarh–Bandra Terminus Express

20984 Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Bhuj Express

Several suburban and passenger trains have also been cancelled, including:

Northern Railway said the installation of the Automatic Signalling System will significantly improve the safety, efficiency, and operational capacity of the Delhi–Rewari section in the future.
