Central Govt give good news to women: Application invite for new scheme

Good news for women with BPL cards who are deprived of free gas connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The central government has provided an opportunity to get gas connection again and customers can apply directly online.

The customers have to directly select the gas agencies of various oil companies that provide gas connection and submit the necessary documentation along with the application through online to be connected under the Ujjwala scheme. Gas connection has already been provided to 10.35 crore people across the country under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

The central government has given the SECC data containing the information of BPL card beneficiaries in the country to IOC, HPCL, BPCL oil companies and Target was given to gas agencies to compulsorily provide gas connection to the women of BPL families under the Ujwala Scheme.

As a result, the owners of the gas agencies, in order to reach the target given to them, worked hard for the success of the project by identifying the poor families in urban and rural areas and giving them free gas connection. There are more than 50000 beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana in Mysuru alone.

All over the state, including Mysuru, more people than the specified target were provided with gas connection under the Ujjwala scheme, stove, regulator, rubber tubes with gas connection. To get this additional money in installments, the subsidy amount given to the consumers was deducted.

In the meantime, the subsidy money for the customers who got gas connection under Ujjwala Yojana has also been forfeited. Now with the resumption of subsidy, the central government has decided to provide gas connection to 75 lakh people under the new Ujjwala Yojana.

Mehul J. Patel, owner of Amardeep Gas Agency, says, “As no district or state has set this much, those who apply early can be the beneficiaries of the scheme.”

Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana women with BPL card can apply directly online. Name, Address, Aadhaar Card, BPL Card Number should be uploaded on the website. Consumers can choose themselves to connect with gas agencies of their choice. Only one cylinder of 14.2 kg is allowed under the scheme. However, you can get two cylinders of 5 kg.
