Chikkodi: An incident where a tenant was shot by a landlord in Chikkodi, as he was not able to pay rent due to corona lock down.
Noor Mohammed is the owner of the house. Dixit, a tenant, had been living in Noor Mahmoud’s house for last 7 month. But the house was not rented for the past two months due to lockdown.
The owner of the house, Noor Mahmood, had been cut off the house’s electricity and water system. He had threatened him, He had to pay rent, or else to empty the house same day.
The riot broke out between Dixit and homeowner, later Noor Mohammed had fired two rounds into the air with a double bar gun at his house. Tenant Dixit complained to the police. The police are conducting inquiries.
