10-Year-Old Boy Dies after Noose Tightens While rehearsing Bhagat Singh’s Play for August 15

Uttar Pradesh: A child lost his life in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday after a noose tightened while rehearsing Bhagat Singh’s play for August 15. The incident took place at Badaun’s Babaat village. Actually, some children were rehearsing Bhagat Singh’s play for August 15 at home.

From among them, these people gave the character of Bhagat Singh to a child and put him on the stool. As the foot slipped, the noose got tight in the neck. Due to the absence of an elder at home, the children could not remove the noose. He sobbed for a while and then he died.

After hearing the screams of children, neighbours rushed to Shivam’s home. They found him hanging. The deceased’s father Bhure along with his wife also reached his home. The deceased has been identified as 10-year-old Shivam. He was playing the role of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in the play. The family cremated the child without conducting a post-mortem.

Village head Bhimsen Sagar told that the children were playing. Parents were not at home. The accident happened in the game itself. In this regard, SO Ravi Karan said that no complaint and complaint had come to the police station regarding the incident. There is no information about the incident.

One of such incidents happened earlier in February 2020, a 12-year-old boy at Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh died when he tried to imitate a scene of Bhagat Singh’s hanging while watching a video of a play on mobile. Previously, when the incident was reported, the police appealed to the parents to be careful.
