Some feel that Rishab Shetty starrer and director ‘ Kantara ‘ has got more hype than it needs. Director Abhiroop Basu , who has gone a step further than that , has severely criticized the movie ‘Kantara’

In an interview given to ETimes (Source) , Abhirup Basu shared some ideas. I feel that this movie mocks people’s intelligence. Poorly done. In a non-progressive manner. The twists and turns in the story are very dishonest. It’s just like a gimmick. The scenario where the hero character turns good is ridiculous. Abhirup Basu said that I was not interested in the climax which was much talked about.

Abhiroop Basu posted about this on social media after watching the movie ‘Kantara’ in the theatre. Many have opposed it. Even so, he said that he is committed to his statement. He also said that all this is not surprising given the situation in the country where scientific proof for mythological characters is being sought.

Recently many criticized the song ‘Varaha Rupam..’. The tune of the Malayalam song ‘Navarasam..’ was composed by music director Ajaneesh B. Loknath is accused of copying. The team of ‘Taikkudam Bridge’ who produced the song ‘Navarasam..’ posted on social media about this.a
