Udupi: Without mask, No social distance Students and teacher’s dance; ECR College becoming Corona Hotspot
Udupi: Corona infections are increasing in coastal districts. Udupi district has implemented stringent measures to control the corona. But at the ECR GROUP of Institutions College near Kota, Udupi distrct, the Corona Rules have been blown up in celebration of Onam. Students and lecturers performed dance without masks, social gaps. Now the college is full of students from Kerala are worried about becoming a corona hotspot.
Udupi district has also still thinking of conducting graduate examinations in the wake of coronavirus infection. For all students from Kerala, the mandatory Quarantine rule has been implemented. But most of the Kerala students are studying at ECR College near Kota, Udupi district. Masks, sanitizers and social distance are mandatory in colleges for all students and teachers. But the rule of the college has been up to the air.
The district management has refused permission to hold any meetings. In colleges, students must maintain social distance within the classroom. The state government had earlier warned that it would take stringent action against non-masked and corona-bound colleges. Udupi district management also said compulsory corona test to be conducted for people not wearing masks. Yet here students, lecturers, or staff neither wore a mask nor maintained social distance during the Onam celebration.
Local students are also studying in a college which is having maximum Kerala’s student. Thus, there is a fear of coronavirus spreading locally. So local people are demanding the Udupi district authorities, who enforce stricter rules for the common people, should take some strict action against the college for violating the Corona rule.
While the government is still thinking opening of a school and college in fear of corona. Officials are not getting any information on whether Corona has been in law enforcement since the colleges began. Despite being noticed by local authorities, they are not taking any strict actions. In the Udupi district, coronal cases are increasing day by day, so it’s better to be careful before the danger local people opinion.
