KAMS have requested in the letter not to extend the summer vacation period. The Department of Education is contemplating postponing the school start date, which is set for May 16, if temperatures continue to rise. The Department of Public Education is contemplating postponing the holiday for the sake of children’s health.

But the director of KAMS has written to CM not to postpone the holiday period. Private schools should not, for whatever reason, extend the due date. KAMS secretary Shashikumar has written to the Chief Minister and the Education Minister to stress the educational reform of children.

Academic activities from pre-primary to high school have been minimal learning since the 2019-20 current year. This would be a psychological, physical and educational injustice to the students of our state.
