Karnataka 2nd PUC Mid Term exam is final exam for 2021-22 Academic

Karnataka 2nd PUC Mid Term Exam 2021 is scheduled to be held on December 9 to December 23, 2021. The Pre-University Education department has recommended multiple changes in examination system. After Omicron hits in India, In Karnataka 2nd PUC Mid Term Exam may be a final exam for 2021-22 academic.

As per report, one of the major changes proposed by the department is that the answer scripts would be checked by the teachers from other institutes. The changes are applicable only for the second-year students. Department of Pre-University Education change the exam timing.

Exam will begin on December 9 and will end on December 23, 2021. The exam will be conducted in two sessions- morning session will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12.45 pm and afternoon session will be conducted from 2 pm to 5.15 pm, as per the revised schedule. The exam papers would be conducted by Pre-University Education department.

Also, a committee would be formed at each district to conduct Karnataka 2nd PUC Mid Term Exam 2021 smoothly. The distribution of question papers, collection and distribution of answer scripts would be managed by nodal centres set up at each taluk.

Last month Snehal R, director, Department of pre-university education said “Final exams will happen. Most parents have been vaccinated and society at large is not at risk like before. We will consider conducting a preparatory exam close to the finals and in case there is a third wave of the pandemic, we could look at considering the year- long assessment marks.”, there will be clarity on where the evaluation for midterm exams will be held.

But now the situation is different from last month after omicron cases found in Karnataka. two men in Karnataka tested positive for the Omicron variant, in the first cases to be reported from India. On Saturday reported two more cases of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, a 33-year-old Mumbai resident returning from South Africa’s Cape Town was found to be positive for the new Covid strain and a 72-year-old man returning from Zimbabwe to Gujarat’s Jamnagar tested positive for the Omicron variant of coronavirus.

If omicron cases rise in state it is difficult to conduct 2nd PUC final exam. For this reason, the State Government and the Education Department have already taken many precautions. This year Mid-term Examination is being held across the state at the time and the same way as the final exam. Once the final exam is impossible, the midterm exam score is likely to be finalized.
