Yes, Education Minister B.C. Nagesh held a review meeting of the Department of Pre-Graduate Education last week, in which changes in the Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 2023 system were discussed. The state government, which is planning to bring changes in the Karnataka 2nd PUC examination system, is thinking of incorporating multiple choice questions of 15 to 20 marks in each subject’s question paper.

The basic purpose of bringing about this change is to increase the result. Comparing the state secondary PUC result with the results of central boards the pass percentage and scoring potential of the students in the state is decreasing. Only 61.88 percent of students passed the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam last time. But CBSE result is more than 90 percent.

Students face the challenge of competing with CBSE students for seats in vocational courses. So the authorities have suggested that this system can be adopted in the first and second PUC examinations with a view to improve the pass percentage and facilitate the writing of the competitive examination in the near future. Presently, PUC question paper contains only descriptive answers.
