In Bengaluru, the authorities have imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in the city for one week, beginning March 15. No protests or gatherings of any kind are allowed in the city.

Meanwhile, in Udupi and Managluru, all schools and colleges have been shut on March 15. The three judge bench of the high court is expected to pronounce its verdict at 10.30 AM tomorrow. 

The holiday has been declared to maintain law and order, and prevent any untoward incidents following the verdict. All the primary schools, pre-primary schools, high schools, PU Colleges, degree colleges and institutes of higher studies will remain closed. However competitive examinations will be conducted as scheduled, stated the deputy commissioner.

Making the announcement, the Mangaluru Deputy Commissioner said that while external examinations will be held as per schedule, internal exams will be postponed.
