Good News for students in Karnataka: class 1 to 8th students get this benefit

The Karnataka Education Department has issued a guideline to distribute eggs and banana to 1to 8th class students of the state’s in the afternoon meal. The issue of child malnutrition has terrified the government.

The decision to distribute eggs and bananas to children has been made effective from the month of December due to malnutrition in children. Children in 7 districts suffer from malnutrition. Malnutrition has been reported in the children of Yadagiri, Kalaburagi, Bellary, Koppal, Raichur, Bidar, Vijayapur district.

The decision has been taken in this context. In some districts, over 70 per cent of children have a malnutrition problem. More than 14 lakh children suffer from anemia. Decision has been made on the distribution of egg, banana and malnutrition background.

In Yadagiri district 74 per cent, Kalaburagi district 72.4 per cent, Bellary 72.3 per cent, Koppal district 70.7 per cent, Raichur district 70.6 per cent, Bidar district 69 per cent and Vijayapur district 68 per cent. More than 14 lakh children in seven districts have been diagnosed with anemia. The government has taken a decision to distribute egg bananas since December in the wake of malnutrition.
