February 14th is celebrated as Valentine’s Day all over the world. Young men and women, especially lovers, celebrate more on this day. Similarly, Vasant Panchami, also known as Saraswati Puja, also falls on February 14 this year. School Holiday announced in these states.

According to the Hindu calendar, Vasant Panchami is very important. The educational institutions in many states are observing the holiday on the special occasion of Vasant Panchami or Saraswati Puja February 14, 2024. However, others are busy making arrangements to celebrate the occasion in the school itself.

As stated earlier, in certain schools, Goddess Saraswati is worshipped by the students during assembly. According to the Drink Panchang, Basant Panchami is being celebrated on February 14.

The Panchami tithi shall begin at 2:41 PM on February 13 and continue till 12:09 PM on February 14. Vasant Panchami festival is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati who blesses knowledge, wisdom, music, art and education. Thus Vidyadevi Saraswati is worshiped with devotion on Vasant Panchami in many parts of India.

For this reason, public holiday has been declared for schools and colleges on Vasant Panchami in many states of the country. The states of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Odisha have declared a holiday for Vasant Panchami, which is celebrated on February 14 this year.

There is a custom in many places to celebrate the arrival of summer by flying kites on Vasant Panchami. But neither Valentine’s Day nor Vasant Panchami has been declared a holiday in Karnataka.
