CBSE Cass 10, 12: Board released syllabus for academic year 2024-25

Central Board of Secondary Education has released Class 10 and 12 Syllabus for CBSE Board Exam 2025. The curriculum for the academic year 2024-25 is categorized into Secondary Curriculum (Classes 9 and 10) and Senior Secondary Curriculum (Classes 11 and 12).

For better understanding, the board has also published the CBSE syllabus and other assessments in Hindi. Students can now download the syllabus for each subject by visiting the syllabus section of the official CBSE website at cbseacademic.nic.in.

For Class 10 students, CBSE has prescribed a total of five compulsory subjects and two optional subjects. However, the CBSE Class 12 syllabus covers seven core learning areas which include languages, humanities, mathematics, science, skill subjects, general studies and health and physical education.

Step to check CBSE Class 10, 12 Syllabus 2024-25:

Step 1: The first step requires students to visit the official CBSE website at www.cbseacademic.nic.in.

Step 2: On the CSBE website home page you need to find the tab that reads ‘Academic’ and click on it.

Step 3: Now you have to look for a link that reads ‘Secondary and Senior School Syllabus for Session 2024-25’.

Step 4: Once you click on it, the PDF file should open on your screen.

Step 5: Look at the pointers carefully and then download the file on your computer

Step 6: Printing the document helps for future reference.

Step to Download CBSE Class 10, 12 Syllabus 2024-25:

Students can follow the detailed step-by-step guide mentioned below to ensure smooth download of CBSE Class 10 and 12 Syllabus –

Step 1: Candidates must first visit the curriculum section of CBSE website at www.cbseacademic.nic.in/curriculum_2025.html.

Step 2: To download the syllabus for classes 9-10, click on the tab that reads ‘Secondary Syllabus (IX-X)

Step 3: Here you will find the subject wise breakdown of the complete syllabus which you can download separately.

Step 4: For classes 11-12, you need to click on ‘Senior Secondary Syllabus (XI-XII)’

Step 5: Here again you will find the subject wise breakdown of the syllabus.

Step 6: Based on your class, download the files you need.

Step 7: Take a printout of those files for future reference.

Meanwhile, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will release new syllabus and textbooks for classes 3 to 6, CBSE said. The new curriculum is currently under development and will be released soon. “Consequently, schools have been directed to follow this new syllabus and textbooks for classes 3 and 6 instead of textbooks published by NCERT till 2023,” said the board’s Director (Academics) Joseph Emmanuel.
