Maharashtra Corona Blast: Reports 61,695 new Covid-19 cases, 349 deaths in single day

Maharashtra, the worst affected state in the country in terms of Covid-19 cases, has reported 61,695 new Covid-19 cases and 349 deaths on Thursday, as per the state health bulletin. Today’s number of fresh cases is quite higher than yesterday’s count of 58,952.

Breaking all records, India registered its biggest-ever single day spike with 200,739 fresh cases. With this, India’s Covid tally has shot up to 14,074,564 cases, according to MoHFW. India is the 2nd worst-hit nation in terms of total Covid-19 cases. India also witnessed 1,037 fatalities due to covid-19 in a single day. The death toll from the deadly infection stands at 173,152.
