Redmi Turbo 5 India Launch Teased With Dual Camera and Powerful Flagship Features

Redmi Turbo 5 is set to enter the Indian market soon with a dual camera setup, high brightness OLED display, large battery and advanced performance features seen in its China variant.

Redmi is preparing to expand its Turbo series in India with the upcoming launch of the Redmi Turbo 5. The smartphone was originally introduced in China earlier this year alongside the Turbo 5 Max, and now the company has officially started teasing its arrival in the Indian market. Early indications suggest that the Indian variant will closely follow the design and specifications of the Chinese model, marking an important step for the series as it enters India for the first time.

The teaser shared by Xiaomi’s India unit on social media platform X confirms that the device will be launched soon, although the exact date has not been announced yet. Adding to the anticipation, an Amazon microsite has also gone live, revealing key design elements of the smartphone. The listing confirms a dual rear camera setup accompanied by an LED flash module, giving users a clear look at its rear design approach.

Design wise, the Redmi Turbo 5 features a flat rear panel with clean styling and Redmi branding placed on the bottom corner. The power button and volume controls are positioned on the right side of the frame, keeping the layout simple and familiar for users. While the design appears minimal, the focus clearly remains on performance and display quality rather than flashy aesthetics.

In terms of specifications, the China launched version of the Redmi Turbo 5 offers a premium display experience. It comes with a 6.59 inch 1.5K OLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also includes Dolby Vision support, high frequency PWM dimming for eye comfort and a peak brightness level reaching up to 3500 nits, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor usage conditions.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, which is expected to deliver strong performance for gaming and multitasking. The smartphone runs on Android 16 based Xiaomi HyperOS 3, offering a modern software experience with improved optimization and smoother system animations.

Camera performance is another major highlight of the Redmi Turbo 5. The device features a 50 megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilization support, paired with an 8 megapixel ultra wide sensor. This setup also supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second, making it suitable for content creators and mobile videography users. On the front, the smartphone carries a 20 megapixel selfie camera designed for video calls and social media usage.

Battery life is expected to be one of the strongest features of the smartphone. The Redmi Turbo 5 packs a massive 7560mAh battery supported by 100W fast charging technology. It also includes 27W reverse charging, allowing the device to power other gadgets when needed. This combination makes it a strong contender for users who rely heavily on long lasting battery performance.

Security features have also been upgraded with the inclusion of an ultrasonic in display fingerprint sensor. This adds both speed and accuracy for unlocking the device while maintaining a clean design without physical sensors on the back or sides.

Meanwhile, Redmi has recently expanded its product lineup in India with the launch of the Redmi A7 Pro 5G. This device features the Unisoc T8300 processor and comes with a dual rear camera system led by a 32 megapixel primary sensor. On the front, it includes an 8 megapixel selfie camera, targeting the budget segment of the market.

With the Redmi Turbo 5 now officially teased for India, expectations are building among smartphone enthusiasts. The combination of a high end display, powerful chipset, large battery and capable camera system positions it as one of the most anticipated launches in the mid to upper range segment. However, users will have to wait for the official announcement to know the final pricing and availability details.
