OnePlus Nord CE 6 Faces Tough Competition From Vivo T5 Pro 5G and Realme 15 Pro 5G
The latest smartphones from OnePlus, Vivo, and Realme are competing strongly in the premium mid range segment with powerful processors, large batteries, advanced cameras, and high refresh rate displays.

The premium mid range smartphone market in India has become more competitive after the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE 6. The newly introduced smartphone is now directly competing with the Vivo T5 Pro 5G and Realme 15 Pro 5G in the under Rs 30000 category. All three smartphones offer flagship style features including high refresh rate displays, powerful Snapdragon processors, large batteries, and fast charging support.
OnePlus has equipped the Nord CE 6 with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset paired with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. Vivo has also used the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor in the T5 Pro 5G, while Realme has slightly upgraded performance with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor inside the Realme 15 Pro 5G. These processors are designed to handle gaming, multitasking, and daily performance smoothly without major lag issues.
Display quality has become one of the strongest selling points in this segment. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 features a 6.78 inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and advanced PWM dimming support for comfortable viewing. Vivo offers a slightly larger 6.83 inch AMOLED panel with the same 144Hz refresh rate and high peak brightness. Meanwhile, Realme has focused heavily on visual quality with its 6.8 inch curved AMOLED display that delivers impressive brightness levels and smooth animations aimed at entertainment and gaming users.
Battery capacity is another area where all three smartphones are trying to attract buyers. Vivo leads with a massive 9020mAh battery supported by 90W fast charging. OnePlus follows with a large 8000mAh battery and support for 80W SuperVOOC charging along with reverse wired charging functionality. Realme provides a 7000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, promising long usage hours for gaming, streaming, and multitasking.
Camera performance also plays an important role in this competition. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 includes a 50 megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization along with a monochrome sensor. Vivo T5 Pro 5G also offers a 50 megapixel OIS supported main camera paired with a depth sensor. However, Realme appears more aggressive in the camera department by offering a dual 50 megapixel rear camera setup that includes an ultra wide lens. The smartphone also includes a 50 megapixel front camera, making it appealing for selfie lovers and content creators.
All three devices support modern connectivity features such as 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi Fi support, GPS, and USB Type C charging ports. Vivo additionally includes features like NFC and an IR blaster, which may attract users looking for extra utility features in daily use.
Software experience may also influence buying decisions. OnePlus Nord CE 6 runs on OxygenOS 16, which is generally known for its cleaner and smoother interface. Vivo T5 Pro 5G comes with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, while Realme 15 Pro 5G operates on Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. Each interface offers different customization options and user experiences depending on personal preference.
Pricing between the three smartphones remains very competitive. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 starts at Rs 29999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Vivo T5 Pro 5G is also priced at Rs 29999 for its base model, while Realme undercuts both rivals with a starting price of Rs 26999 for the same storage configuration. Higher storage variants from all three brands are priced above Rs 33000.
Technology experts believe the competition between these smartphones will mainly depend on user priorities. Buyers focused on battery life may lean toward Vivo, while users wanting a balanced software experience may prefer OnePlus. At the same time, Realme appears to target photography enthusiasts and display focused users with its advanced camera setup and bright curved screen.
With brands now offering premium features in the mid range category, consumers are getting more choices than ever before. The final decision may come down to whether users value battery performance, camera quality, software experience, or overall pricing the most.
