The people of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district have settled in Mumbai for employment. People are working in a hotel and company for their livelihood. Deadly Corona raged over the life of Kannadiga’s. The central government has issued a lock-down order as the Covid-19 infection spreads across the country. In Maharashtra, the number of corona sufferers has increased. Corona is rising in Mumbai. Thus, people living in Mumbai for the sake of their livelihood are getting worse.
On the one hand, there is no work, no money in hand, and people working in hotels are living in slums. There is a necessity to use public toilets.
Thus, There is a high chance of Corona spread. In Maharashtra, the number of corona infected people is increasing day by day. Already, many Mumbai Kannadigas are appealing to the Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa to give them an opportunity to visit Karnataka on social networking sites.
Due to coronavirus in Mumbai, Many have moved to native when the lockdown order is announced. But many are not able to come. Others tried to reach Karnataka by private vehicles, but not able to reach as the state borders were closed. The people who are working at the hotel, the factory and the company were not able to reach, as lockdown was announced suddenly.
Due to this Corona fear, Mumbai kannadigas are saying that “They are ready to come back to native by walk if lockdown continues, and are okay even if some legal actions are taken against them”. Thus they are requesting to let them come back to Karnataka. On their return to native, they are ready for Home Quarantine. So they are appealing to Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa for an opportunity. Therefore, the state government has to stand for the help of Kannadigas who are residing in outer states. Mumbai’s Kannadigas are required to provide justice to the home quarantine system across the state.
