RCB has given a gate pass to players who failed to perform consistently in the last IPL. This includes spin bowler Vanindu Hasaranga and death over specialist Harshal Patel. RCB has also auctioned star player Josh Hazlewood. RCB’s six slots look fixed. But bowling is a big concern for the team. Mohammed Siraj is the only star bowler in the team.

Rees Topley can support Siraj. But RCB is thinking of investing in domestic pacers and spin bowlers in the auction. RCB will bid for Karthik Tyagi, who has played for Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is a player who can help the team in power play and death overs.

Karthik has overall taken 15 wickets in 19 matches in IPL. RCB can flow money to them. Apart from Karthik Tyagi, the other domestic player that RCB is targeting is Chetan Sakaria. He was dropped by Delhi Capitals after failing to perform consistently in the last edition of IPL. So RCB will bid for him. Apart from these two domestic players, RCB is also likely to spend money on Windies all-rounder Jason Holder.
