IPL 2024 Player Auction date fix: Player list and Auction Date

IPL 2024: Each franchise is being offered a purse of Rs 100 crore for the upcoming Indian Premier League
(IPL) 2024 auction. In the last auction, all the franchisees appeared in the bidding process with Rs 95 crores. Rs 5 crores has been increased this time so that players can be bought within Rs 100 crores.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has started the preparations for the colorful cricket tournament Indian Premier League Season 17 IPL 2024. As a first step, the date for the IPL auction has now been fixed. Accordingly, the auction process of the players will be held in Dubai on December 19. Prior to this, the 10 franchises have to submit the list of retained and released players list before November 15.

IPL 2024 Auction Rs 100 crore purse:

A purse of Rs 100 crores is being offered to each franchise for the upcoming IPL 2024 auction. In the last auction, all the franchisees appeared in the bidding process with Rs 95 crores. Rs 5 crores has been increased this time, so that players can be bought within Rs 100 crores.

IPL 2024 Mini Auction:

As mega auction was held in IPL 2023, mini auction will be held this time. So in IPL 2024 the franchises can retain as many players as they want. Bidding can also be conducted for released player positions. That is why the auction process this time is limited to just one day.

Entry of star players for IPL 2024 Auction:

The IPL 2024 auction is likely to feature a slew of star players. Because Pat Cummins, Chris Woakes, Travis Head, Alex Hales, Sam Billings, Gerald Coetzee and Mitchell Starc, who were left out of the last IPL, have confirmed their appearance in the upcoming IPL bidding.

IPL 2024 10 Teams:

Only 10 teams will continue in the upcoming IPL. Although there have been proposals to increase the number of teams to 12 in the past, BCCI has no intention of fielding additional teams as of now. Therefore, only 10 teams will compete in IPL season 17.

Women’s Premier League:

This time also Women’s Premier League will be held and the auction process for the players of this league is planned to be held on December 9. However, the venue for the Women’s Premier League auction process has not been finalised.
