“The matter has been formally conveyed to the ICC. There will be no fireworks display in Mumbai and Delhi. Bursting of firecrackers can increase the level of pollution. The board is sensitive to environmental pollution issues,” said Jai Shah.

According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the air quality AQI (AQI) reading in Mumbai on Tuesday was 172 (moderate), touching an alarming level of 260 in Bandra Kurla Complex.
