Former Indian cricketer Ashok Dinda enter politics: see which party he joined

Ahead of the Assembly polls in West Bengal, former cricketer Ashoke Dinda joined the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday in presence of Union Minister Babul Supriyo and state BJP vice-president Arjun Singh at a public meeting in Kolkata.

The former pace bowler, who had represented the national team, Bengal and a number of franchises in the Indian Premier League, retired from all forms of cricket on Feb 2.

Former Indian cricketer-turned politician Laxmi Ratan Shukla had resigned as the West Bengal Minister and Trinamool MLA and member late last year.
