But because the field umpire did not pay attention properly, Stoinis escaped dismissal. In fact, the rule is that any batsman should be ready to play within 75 seconds of coming to the crease.

If the new batsman is not ready to bat within this time, on an appeal from the fielding team, the umpire may declare the player out under the time-out rule.
