Afghanistan vs Australia: Afghanistan create history, qualify for Champions Trophy 2025

Afghanistan cricket team has qualified for the Champions Trophy 2025 to be held in Pakistan for the first time. Afghanistan's participation in the Champions Trophy event was confirmed after Sri Lanka's loss to Bangladesh in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

World Cup 2023: Only eight teams in total can qualify for the Champions Trophy. Pakistan automatically qualifies as the host nation. Apart from Pakistan and Afghanistan, India, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia will participate in the Champions Trophy 2025 event.

Afghanistan, who have been admitted for the first time, are currently playing a match against Australia in the World Cup 2023. A total of eight teams can qualify for the Champions Trophy.
