NDA leads in 301 seats, Union of India leads in 121 seats. NDA has taken huge lead in early trends. So far, the trends of 452 seats have been revealed, of which NDA is leading in 301 seats, INDI Alliance in 121 seats and others in 30 seats. BJP candidate Dr. CN Manjunath has taken 26000 vote lead against DK Suresh in Bangalore Rural.

Trends usually emerge within an hour of counting and results become clear by noon on counting day. Election officials said that counting of EVM votes will start 30 minutes after counting of postal votes. This time BJP is targeting 370 seats for itself and 400 for NDA.

BJP’s campaign was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party’s biggest star campaigner, PM Modi attended more than 200 public meetings, including rallies and roadshows. The Congress, weakened by a string of electoral defeats and defections, is part of the AAP Bloc India that faces the BJP. India Bloc’s campaign included joint rallies by opposition leaders.
