Karnataka Election 2023: You can vote without voter ID card

If you don’t have voter ID card, don’t worry. But first it is necessary to register your name in the electoral roll as a registered voter. If name is not registered then fill Form-6. Karnataka Election 2023: You can vote without voter ID card. It should be submitted to the Electoral Registration Officer of your constituency.

After this your name will be registered as a voter in the electoral roll. Form-6 can be submitted online and offline. If you do not have voter ID, you must have any one of the 11 photo ID documents. It is necessary to show it before voting.  

This document is usually with everyone. As per the information received from the Election Commission (EC), Aadhaar card is a valid document for voting and you can cast your vote through it. This document gives you the license to drive on the road. Not only that, you can also vote with this document.

You can vote even if you have PAN card. It is a valid alternative to Voter ID for voting. It is required to go to other countries outside India but it is a valid document. If you have a passport, you can vote by showing this document.

You can vote even if you have MGNREGA Job Card. If you have a post office passbook, it has your photo attached. You can also vote by showing this. Even if you have a bank pass book with photo you can vote by showing it.

Apart from this, one can also vote through I Card with photo issued by Central or State Government, PSU or Public Limited Company, Smart Card issued by RGI through NPR, Health Insurance Smart Card issued under Central Government Scheme, Pension Document with Photo, Official ID Card issued to MP, MLA and MLC. .

Voters have to present their voter’s photo ID when they go to the polling booths to cast their votes. In case it cannot be produced any of the following alternative documents can be produced for voter identification.
