This is a scheme implemented by the Women’s Development Corporation of the Central Government to encourage the establishment of small enterprises for the overall economic growth of the country. This scheme has been implemented mainly keeping in mind the empowerment of women.
Under this scheme women are given interest-free loan up to Rs 3 lakh for capital to start a small business. Interest-free loans are provided to women from all sections of the society under Udyogini Yojana. Widows, disabled, destitute women are given special representation. About 88 types of small business start-up can be availed by employees under the scheme.
These include tailoring, fisheries, grocery, library, bakery, incense making, dairying and cooking.
Many private and government-owned banks in the country are providing loans under Udyogini Yojana. Loans have also been obtained from Punjab and Sindh Bank, Saraswat Bank. Not only these but also all commercial banks and cooperative banks can get loans.
Only women are eligible for loans under Udyogini Yojana. Women aged 18 to 55 years are eligible for interest free loan. The family income of the woman applying for the loan should be less than Rs 1.5 lakh. Widows, disabled, destitute women are considered for lending even if the family has a high income.

How to apply for a loan?
Download the employee loan application copy from the concerned bank’s website.
Fill all the details in the application.
Copies of all the documents requested by the bank should be attached with the application.
After filling and submitting the application, go to the concerned bank branch and inquire about the loan sanction.
