IMD Issued Heavy Rainfall Alert in these states for next 4 days
In an official statement, the IMD said, “A cyclonic circulation is over Southeast Rajasthan. Under its influence; scattered light rain with thunder, lightning and squall is likely over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra during April 10-13, 2024."
Weather Report: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its daily briefing has forecast thundershowers over central India, northwest India and northeast India in the coming days. IMD Issued Heavy Rainfall Alert in these states for next 4 days.
In an official statement, the IMD said, “A cyclonic circulation is over Southeast Rajasthan. Under its influence; scattered light rain with thunder, lightning and squall is likely over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra during April 10-13, 2024.”
In Chhattisgarh, the IMD has forecast scattered light rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds reaching speed of 30-40 kmph at some places till April 14. The IMD has predicted hailstorm at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. “On Vidarbha during 10th to 12th and Marathwada on 10th, 12th and 13th April 2024,” it said.
From April 9 to April 13, the IMD has forecast light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning over the Gangetic regions of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha and Bihar. Meanwhile, the IMD noted that an active Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from 12 April 2024, due to which, isolated light rains.

And snowfall will be widespread over Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during 10-12 and over the region during 13Scattered to moderate rain/snow and lightning with thunderstorms. -15 April, 2024.iMD has predicted scattered rain and thundershowers with thunder, lightning and gusty winds over Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana from April 13 to 15 and thundershowers over Rajasthan from April 10 to 15, 2024.
The IMD has predicted isolated heavy rain and snowfall over Jammu and Kashmir on 13 and 14 April 2024 and Himachal Pradesh on 14 April 2024 over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand on 13 and 14 April and East Rajasthan on 14 April.
