The Food Department has clarified that no final date has been set for updating e-KYC for LPG gas connection. According to a press release issued by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, the central government has not set a deadline for Aadhaar e-KYC for cooking gas connection holders.

It said that the public can go to the gas agencies at their leisure and do Aadhaar e-KYC, and the public will not need to queue up in front of the gas agencies anxiously. So there is no need to queue up at the gas agencies due to unnecessary confusion or wrong information and there is an opportunity to do e-KYC even while getting the cylinder delivered to the home.

Also, Hello BPCL, Indian Oil One and Vitron HP Gas have said that e-KYC can be done through these mobile apps.

Step to do EKYC online at home:

Visit LPG Gas website www.mylpg.in

Select Bharat/HP/Indane Gas.

Click on your gas agency

Sign in through the registered mobile number

Gas connection details will be visible after login.

Select Aadhaar Authentication on the left side

After verifying the aadhaar number (aadhaar card) click on OTP

Confirmed OTP received on your registered mobile number.

Once the authentication is successful, a message will come to your mobile.

If you want to check whether your KYC is complete or not then click on Aadhaar Verification option.

Later, the e-KYC completion message will come to your mobile.

EKYC process can be completed online very easily. Those who are not able to do EKYC online once can visit gas agencies and complete E-KYC through app line as well.
