According to the RBI, there are three types of bank holidays in the country. Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, real time gross settlement holidays and closure of bank accounts. Notably, regional bank holidays may vary from state to state and bank to bank within the country. All nationalized and private banks in India, including State Bank of India (SBI), will have at least 12 holidays in June 2024.
This includes second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays. There are five Sundays in this month. Consumers should keep in mind that holidays vary from state to state due to regional festivals. Check with your local bank branch to confirm holidays. This will help you plan better and avoid last minute problems.

Banks across the country will be closed on June 17 on the occasion of Bakrid/Eid-ul-Aza. Banks will not function in Jammu and Srinagar on June 18. Complete list of bank holidays in June:
June 9: Banks will be closed on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan.
June 10: Martyrdom Day holiday of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji in Punjab.
June 14: Banks will be closed in Odisha on this day for Pahili Raja.
June 15: Banks in the northeastern state of Mizoram will be closed on YMA Day and in Odisha on Raja Sankranti.
June 17: Banks are closed across India except in a few states on the occasion of Bakri Eid.
June 21: Banks in many states will be closed for Vat Savitri Vrat.

June 8: Banks are closed on the second Saturday across India
June 22: Banks are closed on the fourth Saturday across India
June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30: Bank holidays on Sundays across India
Online banking services are available:
Despite the closure, online banking services will function, allowing customers to transact for urgent needs through bank websites, mobile apps or ATMs. However, customers are urged to carefully plan their visits to bank branches considering the non-working dates.
