Asia’s Largest Metro Station in Bengaluru: Here’s Complete Details

The fastest growing metro in the Bengaluru city is now all set for a new milestone. Metro Corporation is constructing Asia's largest, tallest and hi-tech metro station. Same as Jayadeva Interchange Metro Station.

Asia’s largest and tallest metro station is under construction in our Garden City Bengaluru. Metro Corporation is constructing a double elevated plus six level metro station which is emerging as a model metro station.

This is Asia’s first double elevated and interchange metro station, this station has a total of six levels including roadway and metro rail line, and the traffic system will continue in these six levels. MP Tejaswi Surya and Jayanagar Constituency MLA Ramamurthy visited this metro station and observed the work.

He got complete information about the station which is being constructed in six phases. Talked with metro officials and workers. Speaking later, MP Tejaswi said, ‘By February 2024.Metro aims to complete RV Road – Bommasandra. The state government has to work in addition to this. He said that he will also discuss this with the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

At present, 70% of the work on Jayadeva Metro Station has been completed and after its completion, the station will emerge as a model metro station for the country. This wonderful metro station will cost more than 200 crores.

If you look at the six phases of this station, the first phase is underpass from Bannerghatta to Dairy Circle, the second phase is the road from Ragigudda to Central Silk Board, and the third phase is the flyover on the same route. The fourth phase metro will run at con course level, the fifth phase will run Reach 5 from RV Road to Bommasandra, and the sixth phase will run Reach 6 metro train from Kale to Agrahara Nagawara.

This 18 km long route has 16 stations and is expected to handle two and a half lakh riders daily, the traffic around Jayanagar Constituency will also be disrupted. Overall, if the long-awaited route of this part is opened for traffic by the coming February according to the dead line, the traffic problem of a part of the city will be put to rest. But as expected, we have to wait and see if the work will be completed with time.
