Karnataka School Reopening decision for primary classes would be taken soon by the state government. The State Education Minister B.C. Nagesh on September 11, 2021 said that the decision on resuming schools for classes 1 to 5 would be taken after consultation with the experts.
This has come after the successful functioning of higher secondary schools and colleges and the declining COVID 19 cases in the state. The state has formed a technical experts committee on COVID 19.
“Any decision on Karnataka School Reopening would be taken after having a thorough consent from the committee”, said Education Minister. He further added that the state government is soon holding a meeting with the expert’s committee.
Earlier, the state government had reopened schools for classes 9 to 12 on August 23, 2021. Also, after the successful execution of plans, the government had decided to reopen schools for students of classes 6 to 9.
On the other hand, the experts say that the threat of COVID infections looms large as the government at the centre has lowered its guard.
