Indian Railways Recruitment 2024: Invite Application for Assistant Loco Pilot Posts

Indian Railways Recruitment 2024: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a centralized job notification for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilots. Invite Application for of 5696 Assistant Loco Pilot Posts.

Eligible candidates can apply for the vacancies on the official website indianrailways.gov.in till February 19 (till 11.59 pm). The application amendment / editing window is open from February 20 to 29, 2024. 7th CPC Indian Railways aims to fill a total of 5696 Assistant Loco Pilot Posts in various sectors of Pay Level-2.

Indian Railways Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates within the age limit of 18 to 30 years as on July 1, 2024 can apply. The maximum age limit relaxations applicable to reserved category candidates.

Qualification: Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/ Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wire Man, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engineer, Turner.

Machinist Matriculation/ SSLC and ITI from NCVT/ SCVT recognized Institutes for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Posts. OR Matriculation / SSLC plus course completion of Act Apprenticeship in the above mentioned trades.

OR Three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering with Matriculation/ SSLC; OR from a recognized institute instead of ITI, It is a combination of various disciplines of engineering. Note: Diploma in Engineering, Degree in Engineering disciplines as above is also acceptable.

Application Fee: Rs.500 for all candidates except reserved category candidates, Rs.400 (after deducting bank charges) for candidates appearing for CBT-Phase 1 will be refunded. The examination fee for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women/Third Gender/Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates is Rs 250.

The selection process consists of 5 major components: (i) First Stage CBT (ii) Second Stage CBT (iii) Computer Based Aptitude Test – CBAT (iv) Document Verification and (v) Medical Examination.
