Rain Holiday: declared school college holiday on July 25 in Udupi

Heavy rains continue to lash parts of coastal Karnataka region and they are likely to continue for next 4 days. Rain Holiday: declared school college holiday for tomorrow (July 25) in Udupi. The Indian Meteorological Department has extended the orange alert in the coastal region of the state till today and warned about the chances of heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Due to high rainfall in the Udupi, there is a possibility of high water levels in the rivers and streams and there is also a possibility of heavy rains to continue. Deputy Commissioner has ordered to closure of all government, Aided and private schools, undergraduate colleges in Udupi district on Tuesday, July 25.

The rains have intensified again in the state and the India Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning this week as well. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy stormy rain especially in coastal Karnataka. It is said that there will be heavy rain from July 23 to July 28.

In addition, heavy rain will fall from July 23 to July 28 across the coast. It has been warned that the storm will accompany it and will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.
