Karnataka: Vegetable seller’s girl is VTU gold medallist

BENGALURU: When Lalitha R strolls up the phase to get gold awards for verifying the most noteworthy stamps in aeronautical designing during the Visvesvaraya Technological University conference on Saturday, her account of coarseness and devotion will motivate many. Lalitha, the little girl of a vegetable seller couple in Hiriyur of Chitradurga, will get two decorations at the occasion.

The understudy of East-West College of Engineering (EWCE), Yelahanka originates from an unassuming foundation. Her dad has considered till class 1 and mother till class 5 and together they run a vegetable shop in the town. “They venture out from home at 4.30 am each day to purchase vegetables from ranchers. The shop opens at 6 am and they are there till 10 pm. Seeing them work this hard spurs me to drudge to such an extent. After school, I find a workable pace 5 pm. I enjoy a reprieve later and afterward learn at a stretch from 10 pm to 3 am,” said Lalitha.

Lalitha, 22, finished SSLC from Vagdevi School, Hiriyur with 94% and PU from SRS College, Chitradurga with 87%. Subsequent to clearing CET (with a 20,000 position), she joined EWCE under CET amount, for a charge of Rs 18,000 for every annum. “I am an original alumni in my family. In this way, I figured something like aeronautical designing would be extraordinary for my folks. What’s more, it ended up being new, energizing and fascinating,” she included.

The community young lady, who came to Bengaluru without precedent for 2015, took some time becoming acclimated to living in a metro.
