The Department of Public Education has instructed primary and high school teachers to strengthen the ‘Kalika Chetharike initiative implemented in the academic year 2022-23 at the school level. Karnataka class 1 to 10 students: Important notice from education department.

Under the said program which has been implemented in the school education scope for the academic session 2022-23, learning sheets/activity books for students and facilitator manuals for teachers have been prepared and printed subject wise and provided to all schools by the department.

In order to implement the Kalika Chetharike initiative in all the schools in the most effective way and to monitor the implementation progress of the program from time to time, the district and block level officials, field and cluster level resource persons have been directed to take necessary steps to formulate the planned activities at their respective levels and implement them in the schools.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the state including the coastal and hills area for the next 5 days. Karnataka heavy rainfall for next 5 days, issued alert, school holiday. Today there is a possibility of heavy rain in Davangere, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Chikkaballapur, Shimoga, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu and Hassan districts and yellow alert has been announced for the next 24 hours.

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the districts of Malnadu for the next 5 days, Orange Alert has been announced in Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Hassan districts on August 1 and 2. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in some parts of the coast, southern hinterland and northern hinterland.

A holiday has been declared for all Anganwadi centers, primary and high schools in the area today in the wake of heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightening in Ullala, Mulki, Moodbidire and Bantwala taluk under the municipal corporation on July 30.

Keeping in mind the safety of children, a holiday has been declared for all Anganwadi Centres, Primary and High Schools across Mangalore Sub-Division (Mangalore City Corporation, Mulki, Moodbidire, Ullala and Bantwala Taluks) today. In other places of Puttur sub-division, Tahsildars and BEOs take decisions locally after assessing the local situation.
