Xiaomi 17T Series to Launch With Dual Display Options and Leica Tuned Cameras
Xiaomi is preparing to introduce the 17T series with premium AMOLED displays, Leica tuned triple cameras, powerful MediaTek processors and refreshed designs targeting the mid premium smartphone market globally.

Xiaomi is getting ready to unveil its new Xiaomi 17T smartphone series in selected international markets next week. The upcoming lineup is expected to include the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, both arriving with upgraded displays, premium camera hardware and flagship inspired design elements. The company has also confirmed that the standard Xiaomi 17T model will make its way to the Indian market soon after the global debut.
Ahead of the official launch, Xiaomi has started teasing key details about the smartphones on social media. One of the most talked about upgrades is the introduction of two different display sizes in the series. According to the company, users looking for a compact experience will get a smaller screen variant in a violet color option, while the larger model will arrive in a deep blue finish among other shades.
Both smartphones are expected to feature a similar design language with a flat rear panel and a square shaped camera module positioned on the upper left corner. Xiaomi is once again partnering with Leica for the camera setup, and both devices are likely to include Leica tuned triple rear cameras aimed at delivering enhanced photography performance. An LED flash unit will sit beside the camera island, while the power button and volume controls are placed on the right edge of the phones.
The Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a 6.59 inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 460ppi. Meanwhile, the higher end Xiaomi 17T Pro could arrive with a larger 6.83 inch 1.5K AMOLED touchscreen offering a sharper and smoother viewing experience. Reports suggest the Pro model may support a 144Hz refresh rate along with a resolution of 1280 x 2772 pixels and 447ppi pixel density.
On the performance front, Xiaomi may equip the standard Xiaomi 17T with the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The processor is expected to deliver efficient multitasking and gaming performance while maintaining power efficiency. In terms of optics, the smartphone could feature a 50 megapixel Light Fusion 800 primary sensor paired with a 50 megapixel telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, Xiaomi may include a 32 megapixel front camera.
The Xiaomi 17T series is scheduled to launch globally on March 28, while the standard model is expected to debut in India on June 4. Industry reports suggest the Xiaomi 17T could be priced between Rs 69000 and Rs 72000 in India.
Xiaomi has recently witnessed strong growth in the mid premium smartphone category in India. The company reportedly recorded a sharp increase in sales between February and April, driven by its strategy of focusing more on product value instead of flooding the market with too many launches. With the Xiaomi 17T series, the brand appears ready to strengthen its presence further in the premium Android smartphone segment.
